A rollout project – supplying large numbers of different IT components, installing them at workstations by experts and integrating them into a functional whole – makes huge demands in terms of planning and organization. Without proper organization and implementation, such a project can easily turn into an endless nightmare.

• Analyzing the existing IT landscape in your business, followed by consultation and the compilation of a feasibility study to determine the strategic and technical requirements for success
• Determining what is needed in terms of replacements and extensions and jointly deciding on the hardware platform, the operating system and applications
• Drawing up the integrated project plan that identifies the skills and responsibilities, the individual stages of the central and decentralized implementation, the milestones and costs
• Setting up a pilot installation to run under realistic conditions (“dry-runs”), during which the technical functioning of the system is tested. This includes:
  • Testing all interfaces (desktop systems, networks, servers, storage, security, printing)
  • Testing data take-up from existing and outside systems
  • Testing a fall-back strategy, in case the pilot implementation does not meet requirements
• Sourcing, testing, supplying, installing and adapting the required network, hardware and software infrastructure
• Establishing full-time and centralized maintenance and support measures such as a help-desk
• Planning and establishing training schemes for administrators and users
• Comprehensive documentation of the initial situation, the planned hardware and software platform, configuration and installation, the equipment as supplied and installed and all subsequent training measures.
